Founded by Njabu Griffiths, Lashongwe is a jewellery design and manufacturing company rooted in African culture. Lashongwe specialises in contemporary African jewelry inspired by the Zulu plug earring, consequently, products are customized to give something authentically African but with a bit of a fashion flare.
Lashongwe was founded in 2003 after Njabu got retrenched from corporate South Africa and only became fully operational in 2008. Furthermore, the company is 100% female owned and employs a total of 14 women, 5 of which are employed fulltime.
