Shwe-shwe Poppis develops a range of plush dolls based on the naive, heartfelt and utterly enchanting drawings produced by the children of the Zola Crèche in Soweto. All products are named after the child who conceptualised the doll. The idea came about as a way of reducing the local communitys’ dependency on food parcel donation. One of their primary aims is ensuring that profits from this exciting venture go back to where it started, with the children. To this end, a percentage of all profits go towards trust funds for their education.
